The Green Mountains Section <\/strong>of Lamington National Park has a Queensland Parks and Wildlife Information Centre where GMNHA accredited volunteers are available to help you enjoy your visit on weekends and school holidays. Please call into the Centre the next time you are up on the mountain and chat about walks in the National Park with the volunteer on duty. We will advise you of walks to suit various interests, abilities, fitness and current conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GMNHA holds members’ gatherings including Clean Up Australia Day, bush walks, lectures, working bees and social dinners throughout the year. A Newsletter is produced quarterly. New members are always welcome. So why not find out more about us and consider getting involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before you come for a visit to Lamington National Park<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are planning to bush walk privately, we strongly encourage you to avoid possible disappointment by checking the QPWS website before leaving home for Park alerts<\/strong> due to road hazards and track closure. Bush camping requires a permit (available online) but the camp sites are closed December to January due to fire risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
